March 30th 6pm: Spring Skiing with Chris Davenport

Every year we see the same thing. People put away there fall bikes and climbing gear and pull out there skis to risk injury and scratch a few turns over grass in November. The stoke is unbelievably high and talk of El Nino fills the air. Then we look around from the top of Independence Pass in the spring and endless empty peaks stretch before us with solid snow stability and another season has prematurely ended for so many.

But not this year! We are here to help you bring the stoke for the snow for many months to come. We will provide key tips, such as, how to keep your skins from sticking late in the day, what aspects ski best and at what times and most of all how to keep the front of your shins from getting snow burn while at the same time preventing the back of your calfs from getting sunburn as you rip your first 14er in shorts and a t-shirt.

Do we say 14er? What about a little inspiration from the man, Chris Davenport, who skied all of Colorado's 14,000 foot peaks in one single year? Chris will be there packed with an inspiring slide show that will convince you to put the bike pump down and pick up your yellow wax for another night.
