2020 Jones Splitboards

Jones has been at the forefront of Splitboarding for the past decade and this year is no different. With updated FSC constructions, recycled ABS sidewalls and new ultra bases, there hasn't been a better time to ride one of their boards. The focus and attention crafted into these boards is evident in the details with all their boards including Karakoram Hardware for ideal torsional stiffness, upgraded magnatraction edges and time tested shapes. We have had so many customers come back to us with the feedback that they enjoy riding their Jones splitboard more than their solid. For anyone who knows about Jeremy Jones, this shouldn't come as a surprise. At their core Jones boards are crafted with an obsession for detail, a passion for quality and a commitment to the environment.

Previously known as the Explorer, The Frontier Splitboard is a well rounded and forgiving board for a spectrum of conditions. It features a freeride nose that planes exceptionally well in deep snow and a burly tail that can bust through crud and provide energy through the turn. While this board is the 'price point' board in the Jones line, they certainly do not skimp on materials. The Frontier utilizes the all new FSC Core, an eco plastic topsheet and an ultra fast sintered 7000 base. If you're looking to get into the sport or upgrade to an easy riding and ultra versatile split, the frontier should absolutely be on your list.

Mind Expander

Designed by surf shaper Chris Christenson, the Mind Expander is designed for those riders looking for epic float, nimbleness and full freestyle performance. The blunt nose is a Christenson specialty and helps this board stay on top of the snow, no matter how epic the storm. The full freeride tail gives this board the power and performance to handle high speeds and big drops on steep lines. This unique shape is paired with a short effective edge to make turns snappy and when navigating tighter terrain. If you live in a consistently snowy area, the Mind Expander should be on your radar.

Storm Chaser

We have had the Storm Chaser out on the deepest of days and this board is unsinkable. It packs an incredible amount of float into a short chassis by utilizing a super fat waist and fish tail design to plane effortlessly on deep snow. The 'surf rocker' pops the tip even further out of the snow when you get up to speed which gives this board the ultimate surfy feeling. Furthermore, the short edge gives you ultimate maneuverability through the tightest trees on the deepest of days. If your snowboarding style is rooted in surfing, then you need to get out on this legendary board.

Alternative Freeride

Featuring a blunt nose and directional shape, the Hovercraft is one of the coolest backcountry boards we have come across. It will surf the deepest snow thanks to its directional rocker and moderate fish tail, but remains super nimble on the skintrack and in the trees thanks to its short running length. A stiff tail gives you all the confidence you would ever desire when blasting through crud or riding a steep spring line.
