CalTopo is a mapping software suite created specifically for backcountry travel. Combining unique backcountry specific tools and easy to interpret and use maps, CalTopo offers customizable maps for a huge variety of users.
Join us in Aspen on December 5th @ 6:30 pm where we will spend about an hour exploring a few basics, some ski specific tools, and a few tips and tricks to utilizing CalTopo on your next backcountry adventure. We’ll give a sneak preview of the new CalTopo apps which are in their final phase of beta testing, and cover ways to integrate CalTopo into your field navigation. Discussion will be led by Ben Lantow, who is the business operations manager at CalTopo, and brings practical experience as a Paramedic with Alpine Rescue Team in Evergreen, CO.
