The MTN Lab has long reigned as the go to boot for the freeride skier that wants to take it deeper into the mountains. For 2020 Salomon adds their 3D shell technology to guarantee it won't be your feet hurting that is holding you back. Now you can bake the shell right in a boot fitting oven with the liner for that perfect fit.
The Salomon MTN Lab is part of a new wave of Freeride Touring boots designed to be lightweight and ideal for touring all while still offering exceptional downhill performance. Years of in-depth research and development led to the MTN Lab, a boot that weighs only 1,576 grams, has 47° of cuff articulation and a flex rating of 120. It is no surprise that a company with as a rich a history as Salomon could build this level of touring boot. It achieves it‚s lightweight by having only two buckles and a 50mm power strap. The boot uses Motion Flex Technology for smooth uphill travel and Surelock Ski/Walk mechanism along with 24mm riveted oversized Pivots to offer the best in power transmission when locked out in ski mode. The fully Thermo-moldable liner with two loops ensure that you‚ll have a comfortable fit and can easily slide the boot on and off. The MTN Lab is made from a Grilamid lower shell, Pebax cuff and a Carbon Fiber BC Spine. The Salomon MTN Lab is the boot for Freeride touring at significantly less weight than any other boot in its‚ category.
