Why We Like the Atomic Hawx Prime XTD 115 W Alpine Touring Boot (2022)

A boot to get things done in the backcountry. With a 54 degree range of motion for ski touring the Hawx more than comfortably accommodates your stride and shows up for the downhill part with a 115 flex rating and forward lean of 13 or 15 degrees. Made for power and powder, the Atomic Hawx is a tool that performs.

Well known for it's fitting customization, Atomic designs heat-moldable boot shells that can be heated and contoured exactly for your foot. Paired with Mimic heat-moldable liners, the fit of this boot is customized to any skier out there. A 98mm last ensures you start out with just enough room, and can expand from there if need be. This is definitely a boot that works well for narrow or wide feet, high instep, no arch, narrow heel, bony ankles, or whatever your shape might be!

Four aluminum buckles, a lightweight polyurethane shell, reinforced backbone, burly cam-style booster strap, and Gripwalk pads round out this high performance comfy backcountry ski boot.

Works for high arches

I have always had problems with the top of my foot hurting or my toes going numb because I have a high arch. I attended a boot fitting appt. and after trying several styles, we landed on these. I had them molded and got the foot bed and compression sock. I've toured twice so far and they are the most comfortable boot I own. I'm actually excited to tour now instead of dreading it. No hot spots and they do what I need them to do hiking up and skiing down.
