This is a great running belt, and running belts, in general, are a phenomenal piece of equipment for longer outings. Running vests are sometimes restrictive [in comparison to a belt], and the adjustability of the Dynafit Flask Belt allows you to get a precise fit when loaded down with equipment/fuel/water. There are some belts out there that don't adjust, which is a more minimalist approach, but I think if you are bringing more kit with you for a longer outing, you want to have the adjustment in the waist and a little bit more substantial storage. Long story short:
- If you're going for a VERY long outing grab a running vest. They you can bring a few layers, a lot of food, first aid kit, headlamp, poles, etc.
- If you're going for a long outing grab a flask belt. You can bring a layer, poles, soft flask, food, phone. All of this without having it bounce around, but not feel restrictive in a running vest.
- If you're going for a short outing just wear a pair of shorts and go light and fast. It will feel so much better than bringing WHAT IF gear, just plan accordingly.
The Dynafit Flask Belt is a well designed option for the aforementioned style of long running missions. Bring enough kit to have a good time but still be free to move.
