Atomic Backland 100 Alpine Touring Ski

Ask a Question

The Backland 100 by Atomic walks the line between calorie saving All-Mountain skis on the uphill and the biggest smiles during descents in the Powder-Freeride categories. The 100mm versatile waist puts on a show in soft freshies and the hard-packed surfaces equally. Yet, still lightweight at 1380g at the 180cm length, thanks to the Atomic's Ultra Power Wood Core and Carbon Backbone.

The Backland’s HRZN Tech tip gives 15% more surface area to the ski for improved flotation in deep powder while maintaining the ski torsional stiffness with the carbon fiber in case powder turns to icy crud on those variable conditions. Lastly, the ski's full Dura Cap sidewall construction gives added durability and dampening when the going gets fast. This is your powder ski in the balance between uphill and downhill performance.  With new graphics for 2022, this shop favorite is going to sell out fast.

Long days skiing pow!

Man this is a great ski! I spent all last season enjoying the Backland 100 as my 1 ski quiver. Long days in the powder, spring ski mountaineering, and even resort laps. I did it all! I particularly love that this ski likes to go fast in firm conditions and doesn't shy away from ice. Good edge hold without sacrificing pow performance!
