Atomic Backland 85 W Alpine Touring Ski (2022)

The Atomic Backland 85 W is a lightweight, slender touring ski designed specifically for female skiers. This is a forgiving and versatile touring ski that will make both uphill and downhill skiing feel like a casual affair. These skis are easy to handle and lightweight, making them a great option for a relaxed, easy skiing style. The Backland 85 W is built with the Ultra Light Woodcore (poplar and caruba wood). Stacked on top of that core is the Carbon Backbone (carbon fiber stringers for added liveliness and energy feedback). The shape is described as All Mountain Rocker with HRZN Tech*, which means the ski has 85% traditional camber with 15% rocker at the tip. The tip is hulled like a boat to help with ski flotation and turn initiation. All in all, the Backland 85 W is easy-going, energetic touring ski that will be at home fitness touring in the resort or logging vert in mellow backcountry.
