Black Diamond has introduced the ultra-light Helio 105 ski. This lightweight ski was designed for all-day tours and those classic, big mountain lines because they were able to shave off precious grams without sacrificing downhill ski performance. To accomplish this lightweight, the skis are built with ultralight balsa and flax core and a carbon fiber laminate. The engineers at Black Diamond teamed up with Blizzard's manufacturing facility to get these skis built in their renowned Austrian ski factory. This ski utilizes a stiff sandwich build with beveled ABS sidewalls which provide a durable, damp ski construction. Try the BD Helio 105 if you want to ski fast all season, both up and down. This Helio 105 comes in a 105 length, weighs in at 1450g per ski, has a sidecut dimension of 132-105-119, and turning radius of 21m.
