Dynafit, known worldwide for its dedication to the "light is right" motto, has created a new line of free tour skis that takes that concept to the reality of North American backcountry and on piste skiing. Taking place on the same skis and citing the need for heartier skis that can still tour and climb uphill better than the rest, Dynafit created the Meterorite and the women's specific Sphinx. The ski is constructed out of an ash-poplar core with carbon speed stringers and full vertical ABS sidewalls allowing these skis to handle resort bumps with ease. The 2 mm camber underfoot allows for that extra bit of pop at the end of a turn creating a more playful ski while not compromising its ability to float in powder. This ski will be able to handle anything you throw at it which is good because in mythology, the sphinx's role was that of a guardian, typically of holy places or even famously, to the city of Thebes. With these skis, you will be guarding the secrets of your latest stash with the ferociousness of a lioness.
