Dynafit TLT 7 Carbonio Ski Mountaineering Boot

If you thought you could not get more high tech than Dynafit's TLT 7 backcountry ski boots, then you were flat out wrong. The Carbonio version of the TLT 7 is a stiffer version thanks to the carbon-fiber cuff-stiffner. These boots will have the same great feel as the TLT 7's, but have the carbon performance for those demanding descents. Like the TLT 7's, the Carbonio's will also feature the new Ultralock 3.0 which increases speed and efficiency by having one lever for both the lower and upper buckles. No more micro adjusting on the freezing summit, simply lock it down and you are ready to go! It also features the new Speed Nose which offers much of the skiability of the tongues from older models, yet with the walkability of a tongue-less boot. This boot represents the latest in ultra light ski boot technology. They weigh less than 1 k.g.! So come in and check them out before they float away.

Is renting right for you?

Rentals are a great way to lower the cost for your first time trying the sport and narrowing down what you are looking for. We rent both super light fitness setups for resort uphilling as well as all mountain skis better for backcountry and soft snow.

There are a few limitations of renting. Most importantly the demands on your feet for walking uphill in a hard plastic require a level of boot fitting and customization that is impossible to get in rental boot. This could set you up for some discomfort. There are too many models of skis out there to try them all, so demoing to buy has become impossible. In the end, once you are hooked for the sport, working with our backcountry experts will be the most efficient and least expensive way to get dialed in the perfect setup for you.

Unreliable horrible design.

The boots are awesome when they aren't having to he shipped back and forth to Dynafit to be fixed. I'm going my 3rd round in 3 months because the cable for the buckle system keeps breaking. Do not trust these in the backcountry because theres no way to fix them without sending back to the manufacture. Luckily I was doin resort laps each time mine has broken.

Incredible Boots

These things are amazing. Lighter than pretty much anything else out there, and surprisingly comfortable. The range of motion in walk mode is mind-boggling. I can walk perfectly naturally, with range of motion to spare. I had tried on the expedition version of these boots elsewhere, and they were far too soft for me to consider downhill skiing in. These carbonios don't suffer from that at all. The cuff is a bit lower than downhill specific boots, so that presents the only detractor for downhill use. The liner is pretty darn minimal, but that's to be expected from something this lightweight. As far as cripple creek goes, those guys have got my vote. They were the only shop online where I could find these in my size, so I was worried that the listing might be wrong. I placed my order, and received them, here in Alaska, in a few days. Everything in order. Thank you gentlemen.
