The Hoka Speedgoat quickly became Hoka's best selling trail shoe not long after its inception in 2016. Now on the 4th iteration, Hoka has had ample time and feedback to create one of the best selling (and fitting) trail shoes on the market. The Speedgoat offers the perfect balance cushion, traction, and durability to help you move through the mountains and over the trails.
The outsole offers the consistently grippy Vibram MegaGrip compound, with strategically placed zonal rubber to help maximize durability. The midsole in the Speedgoat 4 is slightly springier than the Speedgoat 3, but still offers one of Hoka's softer rides to help keep your legs fresh, even after longer miles. The upper is an engineered mesh construction with welded overlays in the midfoot. This combination locks the foot in place, but allows the shoe to vent and drain quickly. The forefoot fit in the Speedgoat is slightly wider than the Speedgoat 3, allowing the foot to splay late in races and long runs.
The Speedgoat is your shoe if you're looking for a softer trail runner to pound out some longer training runs, or help you get through your next Ultra!
