Ask a Question

Freeriders rejoice, Moment has delivered the freeride touring ski you crave, the Commander Tour. The Commander Tour is brand new for 2021/2022 and brings with it a unique take on ski touring.  Moment's new lab creation is downhilll focused with a touch of compromise to make it light enough (for some) on the uphill.  If you're a one lap and ski the hell out of that one lap kinda human, then you've arrived at your wildest dream- The Commander Tour.

Moment's Commander series was given a redesign this season, and with it came a brand new ski at a brand new size- 104mm.  The 98, 108, and 118 versions of this ski are universally acclaimed freeride bangers, and now you have the new kid on the block anxiously awaiting its debut!  What separates the Commander tour from other touring skis is that Moment decided to keep a full metal laminate in the ski.  Granted, while 3500 grams isn't extremely light, it sure will have a familiar feel to your alpine skis for both power and confidence. Made in the USA.

Excited!

Excited? We're more than excited- we're amped. We're happier than a kid getting a Nintendo 64 on Christmas in 1996. There are many reasons why this is a cool ski, but to stick to a few-
1. Titanal reinforcement is GREAT for a ski that's designed to charge. Binding retention is key, and so is stability at speed
2. Shape- More of a directional freeride ski. If you aren't landing switch off of booters (which is most of us), then you'll love the way this ski rails at speed.
3. Durability. Moment is renowned for their durable constructions- finally a touring ski that can take the beating of hundreds of aggressively skied days!
