When you start ski mountaineering racing, you will notice that to make strides, you need more than just fitness to perform at the top level, you will need to upgrade your gear to the lightest, most innovative set ups. All of the pros are on that gear for a reason, it is the lightest, and is dependable. The Ski Trab Gara Titan binding is a new, ultra light race binding that features a patented design that does not use coiled springs. This innovation has significantly cut down on weight and, because of the lack of springs, prevents ice build up from clogging the binding. The titanium toe piece lever angles onto your boot, forcing the pins into your boot, locking it in place. Interestingly, the pins are self-cleaning, so don't worry about gunk sealing the holes and preventing solid anchorage to the binding, the pins go right through the crud. The release is the same as other race bindings; simply press down on the lever and the pins pull out. The heel's of the binding are the same as those employed in Ski Trab's TR race bindings. Get these bindings and take your ski racing to another level.
