Spark R&D W Surge Spliboard Binding
Why We Like the Spark R&D W Surge Spliboard Binding
Spark R&D Women's Surge splitboard binding is fierce, sleek, and energetic. Upgrade features include the new Pillow Line ankle/toe straps and a Whammy bar for quick position changes on the steeps. Designed with the same construction as the standard Surge with a solid baseplate, supportive ankle straps, and stiff highback, this binding has been engineered around popular Women's snowboard boots to fit you just right.
The New Pillow Line Ankle Strap is 43% lighter than previous Surge fabric straps. This provides a lightweight, waterproof, durable one-piece construction strap. They also incorporate Burton's proven bomber buckles, so no strings or rivets to break down over time. These new straps will keep you out in the backcountry for seasons to come!
The Surge is Spark's stiffest binding offering maximum downhill performance with immediate response time with each turn.
Don't forget, Spark pucks are sold separately! Check them out here!
The Surge binding from Spark R&D is a bit stiffer and more powerful than the Arc binding, which is why I went with it - I'm a strong rider and I enjoy riding fast so the Surge made sense for me. The Surge highback is a little stiffer, the baseplate is solid and allows for better power transfer, and the ankle and toe straps are a little beefier. This binding is built for big or more powerful riders, hands down. Overall, I love the Tesla T1 system, as the snap ramp is super easy and fast to transition with. Would definitely recommend this binding!!
