Kastle revamped the TX series for the 2019/20 season and the changes made to this ski will make it one of the most talked about and coveted skis of the season. At 98 mm underfoot, this ski will be better suited to handle variable conditions on those light and fast tours, yet its' light weight still lends itself to be the choice Haute route ski. Also, completely new this season, the TX 98 has full sidewall construction allowing for optimal edge control and a Dual Rise rocker profile which consists of slight rocker in the tip and the tail with standard camber underfoot. To shed weight, the ski has carbon reinforcements. Continuing the Kastle tradition, the 98 also has the hollowtech shovel, but new to this year is an elongated hollowtech cap area, with the net effect of reducing more weight and increasing dampening by as much as 30%. These improvements allow this ski to not only tour wonderfully, but also enable the downhill to be just as tasty.
