Description
Stiff and performance driven, this freeride game changer is a force to be reckon with. The 2023 Freetour from Scott is begging to be taken out of bounds and out perform in any condition you throw at it.
Tech Specs
The Superguide Freetour is the holy grail of backcountry skiing: a ski that's light and agile on the way up, with no compromises on those hard-earned lines on the way down. The new Paulownia/Beech core is lightweight yet stable. Combined with Carbon/Aramid fibers, to stiffen the ski without adding weight, the Superguide Freetour boasts a hard-charging construction with a precise 3Dimension Touring Sidecut, that's ready for those fast lines and steep descents.
Made with a new duel solid wood (Paulownia/Beech) core adorned with strategically placed torsionally rigid Carbon/Aramid fibers along the full length of the ski, the sleek back graphite top sheet looks like it was made with “bits of real panther, so you know it’s good”. The Swiss engineers at Scott have designed a new 3Dimension Touring Sidecut that has a wider radius on the shovel, a long radius underfoot and a shorter radius on the tail. This profile allows the Superguide to straight-line it at speed, arc big mountain turns, and then rotate quickly when it gets tight. The Superguide Freetour has ample tip rocker to float through deep powder and crud in the backcountry, but with a shape that is truly fast and stable on steep firm snow when things escalate quickly.
