Weighing an ultralight 96 grams (without the brake), the DNA is so light you won't even know it's there. Yet when it comes to reliability and performance there are no compromises. Crafted with high-grade milled aluminum and carbon fiber, the DNA is designed to take a beating and still ensure 100% reliability so you can stay completely focused on the race.
With race-optimized heal and toe pieces, the DNA ensures easy entry and kick transitions to shave precious seconds. Similarly, the risers are designed for lightning-quick transitions and easy use. The DNA binding is also ISMF complaint, meaning that it releases laterally and vertically and can also be manually secured. ISMF regulations now also require a brake, so the DNA has the option to add a 33-gram brake. In a stroke of brilliance, the engineers at Dynafit designed the brake to also function as the risers. This minimalist approach means that by flipping the brake into uphill mode you simultaneously lock the brake and cover the pins, so you can still transition in one fluid movement.
