Description

The Marker Baron EPF 13 is one of the last holdouts from the once illustrious frame binding category. While lighter freeride touring bindings have mostly replaced the old frame style, the Baron still stands strong. With full and uncompromised alpine performance, the Baron is perfect for the resort skier looking to add a little more versatility to their resort setup.

Tech Specs

The Marker Baron EPF 13 is a fully DIN-certified frame binding that will ski like a normal alpine binding with the added option yo uphill. The Baron is Multinorm compatible, so it'll take an alpine sole or a full touring sole. The wide hole pattern and the redesigned Inter Pivot 3 Freeride Heel of the Baron make it a true freeride binding that can handle the hardest lines, drops, and chunder. All this performance comes at a cost though, which in this case is a 1450-gram binding. For this reason, most people will find the Baron useful mostly as a resort binding that might eventually wander into the sidecountry. When it does come time to start heading uphill, the Baron has two raiser height options and also includes a fiber-reinforced base plate which helps reduce the overall weight without compromising strength.
