Description
The Marker Kingpin M-Werks is designed for the hard-charging tourer who's looking for a little more heft than a full-tech binding. With a tech toe and an alpine heel, the Kingpin combines excellent power transfer and a DIN-certified heel with the climbing ability of a tech toe. The M-Werks addition, designed with the highest quality materials, tips the scales at 655 grams and is ready for any line you can throw at it.
Tech Specs
The Marker Kingpin M-Werks is one of those rare hybrid bindings that manages to handle just about anything. The DIN-certified alpine-style heel gives you the added benefit of consistent release values, elasticity, and great power transfer- all things that are often missing in a tech heel. The pin toe reduces overall weight and creates a binding that gives you robustness where you need it and enough minimalism to still crank uphill. The toe piece is extremely easy to step into thanks to an enlarged contact area for your boot sole and has a large hole pattern to help drive bigger skis. All this performance is packed into a 655-gram binding including the brake. While this is still a heavy binding, the use of premium materials and clever engineering make this binding lighter than many of its competitors and a great choice for a freeride backcountry binding or a 50-50 resort touring binding.
