The Pomoca Climb Pro S-Glide V2 is a high performance and extremely durable climbing skin. This baby blue skin weighs 1.35 g/cm2 because of its longer than average plush. This long plush provides both exceptional grip (52g/cm2) and glide (213 kcal/h). In comparison to other Pomoca brand skins: the Climb Pro S-Glide is heavier than the Climb 2.0 and equal in weight to the Climb Pro Mohair. The Climb Pro S-Glide has both better glide and grip than both the Climb Pro Mohair and Climb 2.0. Work good.

The tool supplied with the skins is easy to use to get the skins cut for ones skis. The skins themselves have excellent grip for climbing but could use a bit more glide (especially in wetter snow). I have used them in various snow conditions and am overall pleased with their performance. Cripple Creek provided fast processing and shipping of the order.

Pomoca Climbing Skins

The skins have been great. I've taken them out twice now and they have climbed nicely. One of the skins slid off my ski completely while I was climbing but I believe that had to do with the condition and me not getting the best stick to my ski. It was very cold and snowy and snow got between the skin and my ski causing it to eventually slide off. I then took more time to reapply. I got a better connection and it was all good!

Here’s the skinny on my skins.

Old skins failed just before a hut trip. Glue stuck to base. Cripple Creek set me up with new skins cut to my skis in time for my trip. Great skin. Gripped when needed with smooth glide in multiple snow conditions. I have heard this brand does not have glue issues like my old skins. Thanks!

Great skins

We used these skin to climb to a 10th Mtn hut. They held wonderfully, even in steep spots. We highly recommend them. And a shout out to the Cripple Creek guys - they give excellent advice and prompt attention to customers’ needs/questions.

So far so good.

I only have about a week on these so far. Initial impressions: Lighter, better glide and less glue separation effort than hybrid BD skins. I still think the G3 skin cutter might be better for trimming, but the pomoca tool was good. Durability remains to be seen. Love the turquoise color.:)
