Specialized Globe Throttle

This plug-in throttle mounts next to your Human-Machine Interface (HMI) on your Globe bike and allows you to travel up to 20 mph without needing to pedal. If you want to go faster, pedal assist is still available to boost your speed up to 28 mph once the throttle reaches its limit. The extra burst of torque from the throttle makes it safer and quicker to enter and exit traffic while still enabling you to use pedal assist for increased efficiency and range.

Please note that the speed limit at which the motor will stop providing support may vary significantly by region and is based on local regulations. A higher speed limit may also affect your bike's range, potentially resulting in less distance per charge.

For California riders: California Senate Bill 1271 mandates that e-bikes with throttles must be classified as Class 2, limited to 20MPH. To use your Globe bike with a throttle in California, please visit your authorized retailer for a Class 2 firmware update.
