Features
This is the boot all the baddest dudes in your ski town are wearing to kick your ass in the local race series every other Wednesday night. At a feathery 810 grams thanks to the “carbon everything” touch, and boasting 120-degree cuff articulation, the DNA powers up steep, sketchy climbs as fast as your skinny, shaven legs can carry them (hope you’ve been training) and the lightning-quick Race Lock cuff closure means you’ll have the shortest transition-time Instagram videos of all your friends. Did I mention you should be training? Oh, and the über-stiff carbon cuff, when engaged in ski mode, transmits power like a ski boot should, meaning you’ll actually want to ski hard on the way down too (if you can, weenie).
More importantly, for 2021-22 Dynafit focused on improving the fit of their entire boot line. The DNA is one of two new boots (check out the Mezzalama, the less-carbon-y version) to offer the all-new TwistFit instep closure, a superlight Boa-like system that provides a consistent, snug fit over the top of your foot. This, combined with a new higher-volume 99mm last, means your feet won’t be what’s holding you back from passing that dude who hit on your girlfriend at apres last weekend on the bootpack. Go fast. Go faster. Get the DNA.
