The all-new CAST Touring Freetour 2.0 Pivot 15 has now evolved into the ultimate turnkey freeride system for the skier looking for the ultimate downhill performance and durability both in-bounds and in the backcountry. The CAST Freetour system began as a retrofit solution for skiers who needed a bomb-proof, all-metal binding with touring capability. The new Freetour 2.0 now includes the Pivot 15 2.0 binding set up in CAST configuration and the necessary AFD attachments to work with virtually any hybrid boots on the market. Kit includes a standard AFD compatible with ISO 23223 (Gripwalk) and ISO 5355 (Alpine) soles, as well as a second plate that works with ISO 9523 (Touring Norm) boots.

Unlike other hybrid bindings in this category that rely on a multitude of moving parts to transition from skiing to walking, the CAST features two distinct toe pieces that can be swapped with the simple push of a button. With the pin-style toe installed for walking uphill, the binding weighs in at 1008g, compared to 1343g with the downhill toe installed. While other hybrid bindings can transition without removing pieces, this system massively reduces the number of moving parts on this binding and provides an all-metal construction not seen in any other hybrid touring option. The CAST Freetour 2.0 also features an improved mounting/dismounting system for the two toe pieces. Transitions are now smoother, less prone to snow and ice buildup, and easier to perform with a gloved hand. A larger brake retainer further improves transitions and reduces the likelihood of the brake popping down during the uphill.

Utilizing the new and improved Look Pivot 15 binding, the CAST Freetour 2.0 is built around the gold standard of freeride alpine bindings. A new 105mm brake size eliminates the familiar problem of deciding between a 95 or 115mm brake for those mid-fat freeride skis. DIN values from 6-15 ensure skiers of a wide variety of sizes and ability levels can rely on safe release when needed.
