The Spark R&D Surge ST Pro Splitboard Binding offers riders downhill performance and durability of the Surge ST in a lightweight package, allowing you to go bigger and ride harder. The Surge ST Pro binding is made from upgraded components, giving you a shred-worthy tool to go as far and deep into the backcountry as your legs will take you while still having the confidence to ride steep, committing terrain.
The Surge ST Pro features all Sparks infamous T1 platform, Asym highbacks, minimalist design, stiff flex pattern ideal for aggressive riding, and the same snap ramps/side connections, making transitions quick and easy. Spark turned the dial-up again by using the best components available to make this binding even lighter without skimping on durability. Spark R&D ST Pro's come with a 20% reduction in weight by using full Pebax plastics for the straps, ladders and adjusters, similar to what is found in high-end ski boots. To maximize the strength-to-weight ratio, Spark uses 7075 aluminum in the heel loops, resulting in a thinner and lighter attachment point that doesn't sacrifice strength. Lastly, Custom hardware and screws made from 7075-T6 aluminum allow for dramatic weight savings over their stainless steel counterparts.
