Black Diamond Viper Ice Tool

The redesigned Viper is Black Diamond's modular I.C.E. system alpine axe built for big mountain objectives where conditions shift between steep couloirs, technical ice, and variable snow without warning. A hydroformed aluminum shaft maximizes strength and stiffness from a single piece of material, while the fine-tuned pick angle and curved geometry make the tool comfortable to swing across ice, neve, and mixed terrain without fighting the tool. The FlickLock upper pommel and collapsible lower pommel adapt the axe to the task at hand, and the bottom flick-lever stows the pommel cleanly when planting in snow. Equipped with the standard I.C.E. pick and your choice of alpine hammer or adze, the Viper is fully compatible with all I.C.E. system picks and head accessories, so the tool grows with your objectives rather than limiting them.
