    Tech Specs

The Kastle TX87 is the perfect touring ski for skiers who want a versatile, slender, shaped ski for fitness touring or big backcountry days. Its shorter sidecut provides impressive maneuverability while the sturdy construction holds an edge on fast turns and less than soft snow. Right in the middle of the TX lineup, this ski can handle resort mornings with your uphill buddies, backcountry touring, and long days in the spring.

A wide early-rise tip will keep you afloat in fresh snow, and plenty of camber underfoot provides crisp, stable turns on groomers and spring corn, it's a fun and versatile ski! Paulownia and carbon-wrapped core keep this ski light, weighing in at 1206g in a 166cm length. Torsional stiffness, courtesy of the carbon layers and durable sidewall round out the high-end construction of the TX87, covering every detail that gives the skier more control, and a better ride. Kastle's signature Hollowtech tip reduces vibrations by 30% and balances the ski perfectly. For those of you starting early in the morning or staying up late for moonlight adventures, the Hollowtech tip now glows in the dark!  Pair with a medium-sized binding and a light boot for uphilling, or a bigger boot for slashing pow!

Goes up like a hot air balloon and down like a world cup race ski

First day out with my TX87's with an ATK FR14 binding, I set a number of Strava very notable records on the climb. For how light they are they crushed it under all conditions on the down. What an amazing ski, can't believe it's taken me this long to own a pair of Kastles!

    Great skis

Two years out from a tibial plateau fracture and don’t have all my confidence back. Wanted a pair of skis that were easy to ski downhill, easy to carve, and lightweight. These fit the bill perfectly. I love them after only two days on them. Some chatter at the tips if I’m not quite carving and go into a skid. But that should resolve as I regain my confidence for higher speeds. Thanks for helping me pick the best pair for my current abilities.
