Boot Fitters Advice
Description

The Scarpa 4-Quattro XT Alpine Touring Boot combines the freeride capability of the Gea RS and the lower foot volume of the F1 boot. This creates a lower volume, mid width, 110 flex boot from Scarpa. The gripwalk sole is compatible with all gripwalk certified bindings, allowing you to ski this boot on and off piste, with AT or downhill bindings.

Tech Specs
Features

  • Grilamid Bio® shell with an over-injected Carbon Grilamid® LFT insert for high torsional rigidity keeping your side to side edge control precise
  • Alpine Axial Hybrid construction provides easy entry, precise fit, and increased power transmission
  • Presa® outsole is compatible with GripWalk certified alpine downhill and alpine touring bindings, eases the use on technical terrain by providing a rockered sole
  • Super lightweight Magnesium buckles and ski-walk mechanism
  • Intuition® liner is thermoformable and guarantees a long lasting, warm, precise, comfortable fit
  • The Scarpa 4-Quattro XT Women's Alpine Touring Boot is the lightest 110-flex GripWalk hybrid boot on the market. The new 4-Quattro XT W boot is designed to combine Freeride qualities with a slightly lower volume forefoot boot.

When you look at this boot think about the Gea RS and the F1 meeting on the skin track. The 4-Quattro XT Women's has a low stand height to increase power and performance. This is a great boot for expert skiers and snow professionals.

The versatility of this boot is unmatched when it comes to binding compatibility, ski performance, warmth and comfort. The shell incorporates an over-injected carbon insert for enhanced precision, power transmission, and control. This is all designed to have you lower and closer to the ski, allowing the power and transmission to engage instantly with your bindings and skis. The Presa sole blends older Gripwalk tech with newer rockered sole design, this helps the boot billy goat around on rocky ridge lines so you can get to your descent safely. The Perfect In-between boot for chair access and backcountry users.

    Scarpa 4-Quattro

I love the boot! On the downhill the responsive is stellar and they are very comfortable and firm. I wear a 23.5, wider than a 101 last, and low volume around the ankle and heel. I really struggled finding a store that had a boot that worked for my “flipper” feet. I could use more lateral space in the toes and the second notch is VERY tight to the point of limiting circulation (more so on my left foot than my right). For skinning they are light and have a lot of degrees or movement. On the uphill, I had to release the second buckle off completely but on the downhill I cranked down the second buckle and could lean into the boot without discomfort. The boots do loosen after the heat mold and I am glad I went with the very tight boot as they will only break in with time and I do not have any heel lift. After touring my feet are still warm and comfortable. I think with some more wear or shop adjustments the boot around the second buckle will fill out and the friction at my right pinkie toe will be reduced.

The best boots I’ve ever skied

I was fortunate to be able to ski these a few days in the 2022 season, and they are the best boots ever. I’ve already bought my own pair for this season. Super precise, low volume fit, but even without being molded they’re comfortable. No pinch points. Skiing them feels like driving a Porsche. Super responsive to the tiniest input I give. Smooth, progressive flex that feels way more natural than my old Freedoms. I will mostly use this as my in-area ski, however, they are super light with an exceptional range in walk mode and tour really well. Hands down the best ski boots I’ve ever tried.
