Your boots are one of the most important pieces of backcountry gear you can own. Built for long days of climbing and riding, the S/Lab Trek features a fully heat moldable liner and heel retention strap to keep your foot planted and comfortable. A BOA closure system provides micro-adjustability for a perfect fit, and allows for maximum cuff flex in walk mode for easy uphill travel. Salomon S/Lab Trek Splitboard Boot

I've really enjoyed this splitboot boot for midwinter backcountry powder laps at treeline and spring peak desents. The walk mode makes for more comfortable travel on the flats and uphill. When sinched down in ride mode the boot is moderately stiff, providing a very predictable and responsive feel. I've been riding these boots for four years, roughly 20-days/year. Except for some velcro wear on the instep strap the boots have been very durable. My only minor gripe is the fiddle factor when transitioning back and forth between walk & ride mode....i.e. adjusting lower speed laces, instep strap, upper boa system and power strap. I recommend this boot highly. I also highly recommend getting the boot professionally fitted and heat molded to dial in the boots performance and fun factor.
