Tech Specs

The Weston Approach Splitboard Skins offer easy entry into the backcountry for splitboarders buying a new Weston splitboard. By purchasing a set of pre-cut skins for your Weston board, you will save time and money knowing they fit out of the box with a simple tail clip adjustment. The Weston skins are Pomoca Mohair Mix (70% mohair/30% nylon) that are laser cut to the dimensions of your new splitboard.

Weston splitboard skins are the first splitboarding skins to utilize the Pomoca Z-hook in the tip and the durable tail notch clips that have proven helpful on the Weston Japow for years. This makes attaching your skin quick and easy even on swallow tails.

These are the only skins for riders who "Go Forth & Slay Pow!"  Don't forget to grab a set when you purchase your board.  If not, we will be kind enough to recommend them to you. Get your's before they're sold out!

Great skins

Glue has last several seasons and the grip is perfect. Between glide and grip, these make it happen, and the s hook for connection is bomber. Never slips!

Great skins, and interface makes transitioning a breeze

Love these skins! They glide incredible well, and hold tight on those slippery side hills. The new interface with the Weston boards are amazing as well! Transitioning and skin application has never been easier. I really would recommend these skins if you're ripping a Weston board! :)

Skins that work well with Swallowtail

I picked up a Japow board a few seasons ago before Weston had released these precut skins and was challenged to make the tail clips work well. Now I have no issue with the tail clip and it makes getting them on and off a breeze. I've traditionally used voile and pomoca skins, while voile skins do seem to last damn near forever, they don't have great glide and are by no means light. I've put about 50 days so far on the weston branded pomoca skins and they are holding up great!

Minimalist perfection

First off they look great!

but more importantly they have the perfect ratios of traction to glide. the simple connection interface makes for a much less bulky skin to store for the ride down and cuts a lot of weight!

I have used many different skins over the years and these are my favourite! would definitely recommend!

Only Skins I'll Use

These are the only skins I will use on my Weston Splitboards. I'm a mountain guide out of Tahoe and ride a couple different Weston boards. I've rode the Pomoca skins these are based off for years then Weston changed the tip and tail clips and made them the perfect Split Skins. Super light, pack small and a great balance between grip and glide. These will get you up just about anything and with plenty of energy to rip all day.

Doing what a skin should do best

These skins are great! I use them on my Weston Eclipse and it's firstly so nice that they come pre-cut and ready to use I was sceptical about the 'Z-lock' style attachment system but it works great, never have my skins falling off, the glue stays on really well, they're lightweight but don't cut corners on the grip. Coming from my OG first set of skins, its amazing how much lighter these are. Loving them.

Best splitboard skins out there

Perfect balance of grip/glide, lightweight, thin, attachment mechanism is effective and also very minimalist/packable. If you find that the glue isn't quite sticky enough for your tastes, you can add a thin layer of BD glue (out of a tube) around the perimter to make them really stick (I find this helps in cold environments, or on days with lots of transitions). Pretty sweet to not even have to cut 'em, too! Definitely my favorite splitboard skin on the market these days.

Awesome skin for Weston boards

This skin is awesome for Weston boards. The compatibility is the main sell for these skins with the Z-lock on the nose and quick clips on the back. They're pre cut for the board you rip. They perform well on the uphill. They stay sticky. Pretty much all you can ask for in a skin. I look forward to rocking these for a few years!

The skins you need

Used to ride G3s, SO glad I switched to the Pomocas. Using them on my Revel Split and love that they came pre-cut, didn't have to faff around with anything silly for the swallowtail!
