this board is a beast for charging big lines, steep couloirs and going fast. It handles high speeds, variable snow, and holds up well to the abuse a splitboard can get throughout the season. This board has just the right stiffness to handle whatever conditions you throw at it, and is such a joy to ride.
The Ridgeline splitboard is my daily driver for hard charging riding in the hills. It has the ultra-responsive characteristics of a stiff board, and can handle really any snow conditions at speed without bucking the rider off balance. Camber underfoot locks things in on steeper terrain, and for such a stiff board, it’s remarkably maneuverable in narrow terrain or tight trees. The rockered nose lets the board perform like a pow board when it’s deep, and it feels like you’re surfing weightless when you open this thing up in soft snow. This is the board for folks who want a quiver of one, but prefer a stiff and hard charging platform that can show up for days in the trees and for outings in the high peaks. This year's graphic is just a cherry on top.
Such a great board. Can literally do it all. Love the twinish shape, really solid with lots of tail to land on from pillows and cliffs etc. Excellent edge hold on chunky mixed icy terrain as well. Looking forward to riding this more and more this year!
The Ridgeline is more dependable than your grandpa. On steeps, firm snow or pow this thing never puts a foot wrong. Its holds an edge when your need it most, the flex profile backing up with a damp but responsive feel. Happiest when hucking cliffs, charging open faces or reaching mach 10 speed. As a split board the forward mounting touring inserts really help to keep things efficient and reliable underfoot, which is a big tick.
I bought this board for big spring missions, but pretty quickly realized it does it all. A little bit of setback allows good float in the powder, but I can still ride switch. It's on the stiff side and has a good amount of camber so I can really get an edge in on the firm conditions or power through the chop. And when I gotta ski on it, it does that too!
This is my go to board for big days in the big mountains. When I guide bigger mountains like Baker, Shasta or the Eastern Sierras I need a board that can handle Steeps and Speed but also variable conditions. Anything from wind sweep alpine ice to plastered steep pow turns and this is the board that can do it. I've had so much fun on this board in the big mountains it's also become one of my go to boards for everyday riding as well. I own it in both Split and Solid.
