The Marker Tour F12 is a Freeride Touring Binding designed to be able to travel uphill while offering exceptional downhill ski ability. This is due to the EFP, or Extended Power Frame, which is a 28% wider screw pattern designed for the wider skis of today. Most everyone skis on wider boards these days, but binding hole patterns have not caught up to the times. With a 10mm wider pattern these bindings offer a more secure mount to the wider skis of today and that translates into a more responsive ride. But, before it‚s time to drop in these bindings will help you get to the top with 3 different climbing heights--flat, 7° and 13°--when in touring mode. A stainless steel pivot pin surrounded by a bushing and Teflon coating provide additional stability without adding any weight. Marker has also beefed up the baseplate frame to make it stiffer and stronger with a cleaner profile to make changing between walk and ski mode even easier.

Solid and dependable. Skiable in any condition.

Toured locally in the Northwest and a multi day hut trip in the Silvretta range of the Austrian alps. Not light but I never had to worry about pre-releasing and have skied them extensively in area. Good quiver killer if you ski 60% in area and ski hard.
