The CAMP Ski Raptor 20 Touring Pack is a go-to, easy choice for any avid backcountry skier that is looking for a burly, lightweight, feature filled pack. Whether it is long adventures high in the alpine or quick skimo setups that require a little extra gear, the Raptor is a perfect 30 liter pack. CAMP designed the Raptor with a burly TriRipstop nylon fabric that will stand up to the trees and bushes you always manage to find in your exits. As always CAMP included the super strong X-Press ski carry that is fast, safe and extremely reliable. The A-Frame carry gives you a better balance when climbing fast and doesn't sway back and forth when carrying bulky ropes and ice tools. An added panel that is dedicated to easy access to safety gear when in a quick pinch and time is of the essence.

  • Burly and Ultra lightweight Nylon TriRipstop Fabric makes up most of the pack.
  • X-Press diagonal ski carry system -- allowing pack-on transitions.
  • Alternate lateral ski carry compatibility
  • Stow-able pole, helmet, and ice axe carries are hidden in the pack.
  • Pockets on hip belt for smaller items.
  • Hydration system compatible
  • 790 gram weight

Best ski pack ever?

I really like this backpack. I've used light and simple backpacks and heavy full-featured backpacks before, and none of them really hit the spot for me. I appreciate features like a goggle pocket, externally accessible zippered pocket for snow tools, and hipbelt pockets, but I also enjoy the lightness of skimo style packs with features that let you keep the bag on your back for most transitions. Unfortunately the fully-featured packs are usually rigid and heavy, and the skimo packs are usually flimsy and light, and lack critical features for easy snow study, avalanche instructing, and general ease-of-use.

The Ski Raptor hits the balance beautifully... It has all the best features of heavier backpacks, includes on-the-go access to a crampon/skin pocket and ski carry, and is light without feeling too flimsy. I've used this pack for about 20 days of skiing (I ski with an airbag for about 2/3 of my tours here in the San Juans) and it's perfect. I made a little video sharing more thoughts if you're interested: https://youtu.be/0PoKpj5xkTY.

If you're like me (you enjoy moving quickly but you don't wear spandex) and you're looking for a do-everything ski pack, you should probably just buy this one before it sells out :)

Awesome pack

Lightweight, crampon compartment, helmet carry, 30L at least, chamois for goggles, hip pockets for GUs, what’s not to love! Incredible pack for long days or short ones where you want to move quickly.

The one accessory which I added was a CAMP soft flask holder. I wanted to free up room in the crampon compartment for skins on the down and/or crampons. Having 600 ml on the chest is great.

Highly recommend this pack!
