Tech Specs
The all-new XT3 Tour Pro is Lange's answer to a realm of lightweight freeride boots. For some time now the backcountry world has been progressing toward finding a supreme downhill boot that utilizes a lightweight build and substantial touring capability. When Lange introduced the original XT3, they were stepping into the world of aggressive backcountry riding. But, with the addition of another hybrid ski boot, Lange was missing the one key piece to a stand-alone touring boot. With the addition of full Grilamid plastic and friction-free hinges in the rear, the XT3 Tour Pro allows you to stay on par with the low-to-mid weight range of touring boots.
Without sacrificing too much, Lange was able to utilize Dual Core technology and an Active Power V-Lock to give you the power transfer necessary in any 130 flex boot. The Dual Core method allows Lange to double inject a hard and soft blend of plastics to give the XT3 Tour Pro a responsive and progressive flex in each turn you make.
Coming in at just under 1400 grams, the XT3 Tour Pro has been able to break the barrier between having both a lightweight construction and freeride performance. Very few boots on the market have reached the performance of the 130 flex boot while staying under 1500 grams and providing 55 degrees of cuff articulation in tour mode. The XT3 Tour Pro will be the compromising figure when looking to break the standard traditions of hard-charging touring boots.
