With its 900-lumen brightness and total weight of only 100 g, SWIFT® RL is the most powerful of the Petzl compact headlamps. With its REACTIVE LIGHTING® technology, a sensor analyzes the ambient light and automatically adjusts brightness to user requirements. The headband is reflective for night visibility. Its two-part construction provides excellent stability in dynamic and intense activities such as mountaineering, trail running and skiing. SWIFT® RL is intuitive, with a single button for easy control of all lamp functions. It is rechargeable, with a five-level gauge for precise monitoring of the battery charge level.

Awesome Headlamp that has an incredible battery life

I have used this headlamp for just about everything from night skiing to running a 100 miler and it has performed great. I like the multiply brightness modes and easy USB-C charging. My only complaint is that I wish there was a way to use AA batteries to charge it on multiple day trips. I lasted for my entire 100 miler on 1 charge and I have bought the same headlamp for three family members who all love it!

How Something this small can put out this much light is unbelievable

My new favorite headlamp

I used this during the Silverton 100 and it worked great. Lightweight, comfortable, it stayed put on my head. Didn't really get to check out the battery life completely but it lasted from about 9p to 6am the next morning on the lowest reactive setting, which was enough light for me to see comfortably. As a comparison, my pacer had a BD headlamp on medium setting and it died about 4am.
