Description

The Tecnica Zero G Tour Scout features a four buckle design, a generous 120 flex rating, tech fittings, and an ISO 9523 sole which will work well with many alpine bindings or the Salomon Shift. Hitting the scales at around 1350g, this boot competes with other full-featured tech boots like the Dynafit Hoji or Atomic Hawx and features a huge 55 degrees of cuff articulation for comfortable touring. If you're still dreaming of that one-boot quiver for the resort, the backcountry, and the apres scene, look no further!

    The Tecnica Zero G Tour Scout Alpine Touring Boot has become a fan favorite for it's uncompromising downhill feel. Tecnica has once again proved that boots that ski well can also tour well, and that you can enjoy the up just as much as the down. At 1395 grams in a 26.5, the Zero G is certainly light enough for most touring missions. But Tecnica hasn't compromised any features in their pursuit of a lighter boot. The Dual blocking walk mechanism is reliable and gives a strong, progressive connection from lower to cuff.  If you like the feel of an Alpine forward lean, this boot gives you that option by adjusting the walk mech, or run the boot more upright when you're deep in the backcountry on your lighter setup. Topped off with features like a camping power strap, C.A.S. customizable liner and shell, and 55 degree range of motion, this boot is the perfect companion for the backcountry skier hunting powder and fun turns.

    The boots have been great! Just had to tighten the buckles a little after skiing a couple of days.

    Great Touring Boot Out of The Box....If The Narrow Heel Works For You.

    I normally would never take a new pair of touring boots for a long BC ski/tour without fitting foot beds/molding, and at least some short tours to make sure they weren't going to destroy my feet, I agreed to do a spring ski on a local peak and didn't expect much snow lower on the mountain so I figured it would be mostly hiking skis to the snow line with a short skin/boot pack to the top. I was wrong. The trip ended up being 10 miles, 4k vert, 75%skining, 15% bushwhack ski carry, and 10% boot pack (rock and snow). I was amazed to see I had no blisters at the end of the day and the boot skied great!
    - Fit: Medium volume overall, with a very narrow heel. I have normal feet with somewhat high arches. I think I will end up putting thinner boot beds with arch support, and baking the liners to give just a bit more room in the heels.
    -Sole: rockered vibram sole is great and gave plenty of traction on logs, rocks, and were pretty good hiking around too.
    -Walk mech: The walk mech is awesome!!
    - Skiing: I really like the way they skied. I thought they had a pretty progressive flex, and I liked the shorter cuff (compared to my last boot which had a taller cuff that required a more up-right stance or to be aggressive all the time).

    Great boots!

    I considered the stiffer orange model, but with only 10 difference in the rating, I chose these and have no regrets, I’m even wearing them at the resort now too!
