Dressed in its famous one-piece fluorescent yellow, the orb Freebird is a reference in ski touring. Designed with a fine and progressive rocker lift that gives it a strong base and a very secure grip, it is the perfect companion for vertical odysseys. Cut for the mountain with a 90mm waist width, light, and with very good skiability, it is the accomplice of all the adventures, including the most radical. The intention was to make a ski that skis well first and foremost, and then make it light on the skin approach or on your back when the climbing gets serious. Black Crows use a Paulownia wood core for the Orb's lightness. The pop and stiffness without chatter are achieved with the combination of carbon and fiberglass- in both biaxial and triaxial weaves. This gives the ski a ton of lateral stiffness while maintaining a subtle touch as the ski flexes. When you're in the steep terrain that the Orb was designed for, limited chatter and a solid yet nimble touch throughout the turn are your keys to success.
