Playful Powder Splitboard

Cardiff Powgoda Enduro Splitboard

The Cardiff Powgoda Enduro Splitboard is a playful powder split for riders who want float and quick, freestyle-flavored turns in trees, pillows and tight couloirs rather than a long, locked-in carve. HALFcamber 50, a profile that is half camber and half rocker, and 20 mm of taper keep the wide, blunted nose up, while a reduced effective edge and a 7.5 to 8.5 m sidecut let the board pivot quickly in tight spots. Cardiff builds the Powgoda Enduro by hand around an AMERIcore Split core, a cedar and aspen wood core laced with web-fused carbon, with 2.2 mm hardened edges, and the 148 to 162 cm size run fits lighter riders as well as big ones on deep days.

Why We Like It

  • HALFcamber 50 splits the profile evenly between camber and rocker, the most rocker of Cardiff's Enduro splits in this drop, which is what lets the Powgoda Enduro float a wide, blunted nose without a long one.
  • A reduced effective edge, 1,060 mm on the 148 to 1,160 mm on the 162, and a 7.5 to 8.5 m sidecut make the board quick to pivot in trees and couloirs.
  • The kicked half-moon tail and 20 mm of taper sink the tail in deep snow, while the small 5 mm setback on most sizes keeps the stance close to centered for a playful, freestyle feel.
  • The size run starts at 148 cm with a 248.3 mm waist, so lighter riders get a real powder split rather than a scaled-down all-mountain board.

Best Uses

  • Tree skiing and tight lines in powder
  • Pillow lines and playful freeride
  • Tight couloirs where quick pivots matter
  • Lighter riders who want a dedicated powder split
  • Storm days on shorter tours

Splitboard Selection Advice

Size the Cardiff Powgoda Enduro Splitboard on surface area and boot width. Cardiff prints the surface area on each board: 3,709 cm² on the 148, 4,100 cm² on the 155, 4,300 cm² on the 158 and 4,543 cm² on the 162. Cardiff also marks the board width at each binding, 279.1 mm at the front foot and 266.7 mm at the rear on the 158, so riders in larger boots can check overhang directly. Because the effective edge is short for the length, many riders size a step longer than they would on an all-mountain split.

The Powgoda Enduro is sold on its own, so the binding interface and skins are separate purchases; confirm the puck pattern of your binding system before mounting. The setback is 5 mm on the 148, 155 and 158, and 7 mm on the 162, close to centered for a powder board, which is part of what makes it ride playfully. Skins are cut to the board's shape, and the SWALEtail seats any brand's tail clip.

Compare the Cardiff Powgoda Enduro

Powgoda Enduro vs. Cardiff Swell Enduro Splitboard

Both are Cardiff powder splits on the same cedar and aspen core. The Cardiff Swell Enduro Splitboard runs 30 mm of taper, a 330 mm surf nose and 60% camber for long, drawn-out turns at speed. The Powgoda Enduro is shorter-edged and more evenly rockered, quicker to pivot and more playful in tight terrain.

Powgoda Enduro vs. Cardiff Goat Enduro Splitboard

The Cardiff Goat Enduro Splitboard is Cardiff's all-snow freeride split, with 12 mm of taper, 59% camber and a longer effective edge for firm traverses. The Powgoda Enduro trades that firm-snow edge for more float and quicker turns. Riders with one board for everything lean Goat; riders who own a second board for deep days lean Powgoda.

Common Questions

Who should buy the Cardiff Powgoda Enduro Splitboard?
The Cardiff Powgoda Enduro Splitboard suits riders who tour for powder and want a quick, playful board for trees, pillows and tight lines. HALFcamber 50, 20 mm of taper and a reduced effective edge keep the nose up and the board easy to pivot, and the size run from 148 cm covers lighter riders.
What bindings and skins work with the Cardiff Powgoda Enduro Splitboard?
The Cardiff Powgoda Enduro Splitboard takes splitboard-specific bindings that mount to splitboard hardware and transition between tour and ride mode. Standard solid-board snowboard bindings are not compatible. The board is sold on its own, so the binding interface and skins are separate purchases. The SWALEtail recurve holds any brand's tail clip. Confirm the puck pattern of your binding system against the board before mounting.
Why is the Powgoda's effective edge so short?
The short edge is deliberate. Cardiff gives the Powgoda Enduro a reduced effective edge, 1,130 mm on the 158, and puts that length into the nose and tail instead. That makes the board quicker to turn in trees and easier to float, at the cost of edge on firm, exposed traverses. Many riders size one step longer than their all-mountain split to compensate.
What changed on the 26/27 Cardiff Powgoda Enduro?
The 26/27 Powgoda Enduro is built by hand in Cardiff's founding workshop on the AMERIcore Split core, a 50/50 blend of Northern White Cedar and Eastern Aspen with web-fused carbon. The size run is 148, 155, 158 and 162 cm.
How stiff is the Cardiff Powgoda Enduro Splitboard?
Cardiff rates the Powgoda Enduro at 5 on its PRO FLEX scale for the 148 and 6 for the 155, 158 and 162. That is a medium flex for a powder board, soft enough to press and butter and firm enough to hold a line at moderate speed.
Can the Powgoda Enduro ride switch?
Better than most powder shapes, but it is still directional. The 5 mm setback on most sizes keeps the stance close to centered, which helps switch landings and spins, while 20 mm of taper and the kicked tail favor riding with your regular foot forward in deep snow.

Our Verdict

The Cardiff Powgoda Enduro Splitboard is the playful member of Cardiff's powder family. Half its profile is rocker, it carries 20 mm of taper and a short effective edge, and the result is a board that floats and pivots in tight terrain rather than one that charges long arcs. The hand-built cedar and aspen core with web-fused carbon, urethane sidewalls and 2.2 mm hardened edges keeps it durable. Riders after long surf turns should look at the Swell Enduro; riders who want quick, fun powder laps and a size run from 148 cm should start here.
