Description

Disruptive hardboot splitboard boots are the most durable, comfortale, and reliable hardboot in the game.

Tech Specs

New to the splitboard scene is the Disruptive splitboarding hardboot by Key Equipment. We are stoked to finally offer a hardboot that is built for splitboarding vs modifying existing ski boots. For those getting into hardbooting, looking for a more durable hardboot option, or are adding it to their softboot quiver--grab a set of disruptive boots before they are gone!

With a softer upper cuff than "lightweight" ski boots, you get a heel side flex profile just like a stiff high back on a softboot binding. The top of the upper cuff is shaped for your calf to prevent calf bite. The extremely adjustable walk mode gives you two forward lean positions out of the gate. One for POW and one for more edge control. On top of that, you can also adjust that forward lean position with a 3mm allen key. There is far greater adjustment on this boot than a boot with the phantom link lever.

The disruptive boosts improved sideways flex and increased heel side damping for unforgettable turns. This hardboot also features tech toe inserts, a near-frictionless walk mode, and strong lateral support for smooth skinning. Despite all the tech, it is still a snowboard boot whose priority lies in downhill performance.

Fully heat moldable liner ensures the best fit. Lower shell has an average last and foot shaped so it feels wider than most ski boots. Splitboard hardboots re-imagined.

Great boots

Out of the box I found them pretty comfortable. Light and great flexibility. Bindings cradle them very nicely. I have heard other question logic of the Velcro, suggesting that it introduces the paradox of the choice, but I am fond of the ability to customize the fit. I was considering these a the atomic badlands and am very glad I went for these.

Finally a hard boot that feels like a soft boot

Best thing out there for splitboarders so far. Could use a few small improvements to buckling system but nothing major

Good out of the box splitboard hardboot performance

Out of the many different hardboots i've tried for splitboarding the Disruptive was the most comfortable out of the box "no tinkering required" boot. Probably the best option for a first time hardbooter. The forward lean can be adjusted a few degrees on the fly which is very convenient to get a less aggressive highback angle for the inevitable "scooch" out on the approach. Compared to the competitors they are slightly bulkier and a little less forward ROM while touring. Also a bit wider in the forefoot/toebox.

Game changer

Great for my wide feet! Amazing ride feel that is basically the same as a soft boot, and super efficient on the skin track.
