The Madshus Panorama M78 Nordic Ski is the widest offering in their 'Backcountry downhill' category blending traditional nordic and backcountry performance. At 78mm wide at the waist and 109mm wide at the tip, the M78 looks more like an alpine touring ski than a traditional cross country ski. Almost double the width of groomed Nordic tracks, the Panorama M78 is the perfect ski to tackle soft snow, steep terrain, and multiday backcountry adventures. This ski uses Madshus's Omnitrack waxless base featuring an extra long fish scale patterned grip zone offers plenty of grip and security on steep ascents through variable backcountry conditions and will still kick and glide on flatter approaches and through rolling terrain. 

The M78 also features the tightest side-cut of any ski in the Panorama line making this ski nimble and easy to maneuver in tight situations. The M78's width, side cut, and full length metal edge make it confidence inspiring and stable on the descents.
