Moment Countach Tour 104 Ski
The Moment Countach Tour 104 is the directional one-ski answer in Moment's touring range, for skiers who want to drive a ski forward across a whole season. A 137-104-124 mm shape puts a 137 mm shovel over the waist, 5 mm wider than the Deathwish Tour 104 carries, and Front Rocker, tip rocker over camber underfoot with a raised tail, keeps the running length long where a twin tip gives it up. At 1,500 g per ski (170 cm) with the mount 8 cm behind true center, the Countach Tour 104 asks to be skied from the front foot rather than the middle.

Why We Like It
- A 137 mm shovel is 5 mm wider than the Deathwish Tour 104 carries on the same 104 mm waist and 124 mm tail, and that is what smooths turn initiation on a directional ski.
- A 15 m radius at 170 cm is short for a 104 mm touring ski, so this platform carves rather than relying on rocker to change direction.
- Front Rocker holds 1,370 mm of effective edge at 170 cm, longer than a rockered twin of the same length manages.
- At 1,500 g per ski (170 cm) rising to 1,800 g per ski (188 cm), the paulownia and beech touring core keeps a ski with this much backbone inside touring weight.
Best Uses
- One-ski touring quivers for directional skiers
- Mixed seasons that run from spring corn to midwinter soft snow
- Long approaches with committing descents
- Skiers coming from a directional alpine ski who want the same feel touring
- Pin-tech touring setups with 102 mm brakes
Ski Specialist's Advice
The Countach Tour 104 comes in 170, 176, 182 and 188 cm with radii of 15 m, 16.5 m, 18 m and 19.5 m. Front Rocker means a longer running length than a rockered twin, so this ski skis close to its stated length and does not want sizing up the way a Deathwish does. The 170 cm puts 1,370 mm of edge on the snow and the 188 cm puts 1,550 mm, the same figures the Countach Tour 98 carries. Weight goes 1,500 g, 1,650 g, 1,750 g and 1,800 g per ski across the run.
Moment publishes the mount at 8 cm behind true center on all four lengths, 2 cm further back than the Deathwish and Wildcat Tours, and that is where we drill unless you ask otherwise. The ski ships flat and Moment specifies no reinforcing plate, so pin-tech and hybrid bindings both work. Match the binding to your boot sole norm rather than to the ski. Moment's brake recommendation is 102 mm for the 104 mm waist.
Skin width comes off the 124 mm tail rather than the 104 mm waist, so the Countach Tour 104 takes a 140 mm stock skin trimmed to shape. That is the same width the Deathwish and Wildcat Tours use, so skins rotate across those skis, but not from the Countach Tour 98, which sizes down to 120 mm. The tail is raised rather than a rockered twin, which gives a tail clip a firmer seat.
