Splitboard Selection Advice

The Alternator FX size run widens steadily rather than stepping between narrow and wide options: 244 mm at 148 cm, 246 at 152, 252 at 154, 254 at 158 and 264 at 162, all classed Mid-Wide. Effective edge grows from 1,050 mm to 1,140 mm across the same run. Because there is no wide version of any length, boot overhang has to be solved by moving up the run, which also lengthens the board. Riders with larger feet should look hard at the 158 and 162 rather than sizing down for maneuverability.

Setback is 15 mm on every size and sits in the shape, so there is no reason to shift the stance further back. Skins are sold separately and attach through the Nitro x Kohla system with tip and tail locks rather than a universal clip, so confirm skin compatibility with that attachment before buying a set from another brand.
