A photographic guide to skiing the high Cascades by Dexter Burke.

Most of these photos were taken during an average to slightly below average snowfall in the month of April. Just because a line looks doable in these pictures, does not mean it will be when you go ski it. Part of the experience of backcountry skiing is exploration. It is in the spirit of exploration that this book shows you what is possible, but it's up to you to figure out the details. The information found in this book is color coded: ski lines are red, and scent routes and summits are blue.

Oregon Ski Atlas

Anyone that takes the time to put together a journal for outdoor adventure with images and stories, I’m game to add it to the library. This atlas has good photos and great humor. Given the author focused on the volcanoes, I would have liked more history details and appreciate that he acknowledges that and has asked anyone to submit via email.
