Pivot Phoenix Team XX DH AXS Mixed Wheels Alloy

The Phoenix is Pivot's fifth-generation downhill bike and it is the strangest-looking thing in the pits for a reason. The DW6 mid-high pivot layout uses a dual-idler, dual-chain drivetrain to get 210 mm of rear travel with 25 mm of rearward axle movement, which lets the rear wheel move out of the way of square-edge hits instead of into them. The full carbon frame runs mixed wheels only, 29 inches front and 27.5 rear, with a 203 mm fork and a 63-degree head angle.

Adjustability is where this frame earns its keep. A flip chip in the upper link toggles two geometry settings, a second flip chip at the lower shock mount changes progression, and the straight 56 mm head tube accepts reach-adjust headsets for 5 mm in either direction. Chainstays are 440 mm across all sizes and grow 25 mm at half travel. The Team XX build gets RockShox BoXXer Ultimate and Vivid Ultimate DH suspension, SRAM Maven Ultimate brakes, and 7-speed AXS wireless shifting. Frame warranty is 10 years.
