Tech Specs
Formally the Guide XS, this is Plum's Guide binding in the petite DIN version. Designed for the smaller-bodied shredders out there, the Guide 7 has all the same features as the normal Guide, like the easy step-in and triple heel heights. With a single 7075 aluminum piece for both toe and heel, this binding is a durable tool for people spending day after day in the backcountry. This construction also creates a lot fewer moving parts for further confidence in your gear.
The big difference in the Guide 7 binding is the fact the DIN can be adjusted between 3.5 and 7 respectively. This means the Guide can provide a safe release for riders between the weights of 77lbs. and 150lbs. This makes the Guide 7 ideal for smaller-body individuals who like to ski far and hard.
The Guide 7 can be mounted with or without brakes. The bonus of going brakeless is it provides a quicker transition from uphill to downhill, while the brakes will provide added security so your planks don't run away down to the valley floor.
