Plum's S170 is the evolution of the R170 binding, built for ski mountaineering races and pursuing long backcountry objectives where speed is the priority. The new design and an easy fit system make the S170 a popular choice for all seasoned skiers looking for an ultra-light binding with a setting plate included. Shaped out of a single piece of 7075 Aluminum, the S170s gently press on the scales at 170 g (5.99 oz) per foot making the S170 hard to beat in terms of weight. All while offering 20 mm of baseplate adjustment, and 41mm climbing wedges. The DIN release is equal to a value of 8 on these bindings (non-adjustable), and there is an optional removable crampons slot for PLUM crampons.
