Boot Fitters Advice
Tech Specs

After a full season on the Fischer Ranger Free 130, we have been thoroughly impressed in it's ability to ski any condition while still being capable on the uphill. Despite looking and performing like an alpine boot, the integrated walk mode and lightweight construction means the Ranger is right at home on the skin track with an impressive range of motion. On the downhill, the four buckle construction gives the boot a snug fit while a carbon-reinforced Grilamid shell provides the power to drive any ski in any condition. The Ranger Free is right at home carving turns at high speeds or charging through deep powder in the backcountry. You should never judge a book by it's cover, and don't be fooled by the Ranger Free either. While this boot was designed to perform on the down, it is also capable of getting you up the hill.

Hard Charging 4 buckle boot

I made the switch to touring only boots about 8 years ago. As I progressed deeper into the world of earning my own turns, I continued to go lighter and lighter. That all changed when I got the Fischer Ranger Free. It was noticeable to get a supportive 4 buckle fit and the 130 flex let me ski far faster and more aggressive then boots I had been in previously. Although I usually ride this boot on chair lifts, the dozen or so tours I went on found this boot walking great.
