Santa Cruz Blur 5 CC 29 27 XTR-Kit

The Blur 5 is a full redesign, and the headline is simple: 120 mm of travel front and rear on every build, up from the previous generation, with effectively no weight penalty. Santa Cruz got there by keeping the same shock dimensions and reworking the linkage. The leverage curve now has more mid-stroke support, which shows up as less pedal bob on climbs and a calmer feel through rough sections, and it ramps progressively near the end so you can use full travel without harsh bottom-outs.

Geometry moved with the travel: a 66-degree head angle, 75-degree effective seat angle, 475 mm reach on a large, and proportional scaling across sizes S through XL. The whole line uses CC carbon now, with no rider weight limit and a lifetime warranty on the frame and pivot bearings. Practical details include Glovebox 2 downtube storage, a threaded 73 mm bottom bracket, a UDH hanger, an integrated chain guide, and clearance for 2.4 inch tires. This build runs Shimano XTR.
