Scott Addict 40

The Addict 40 is Scott's endurance road bike, not a race bike with a taller stem. The HMF carbon frame is built with 25 percent more vertical compliance than Scott's race frames, achieved by reshaping the seat tube and refining tube profiles, and the geometry is genuinely different: riding the Addict with no spacers puts you in the same position as 35 mm of spacers on the race-focused Addict RC. Tire clearance runs to 38 mm, which opens up dirt roads and rough pavement without changing bikes.

This build runs Shimano 105 Di2 with a 50/34 crank and an 11-34 cassette, giving you electronic shifting and hydraulic disc braking at a price that used to buy mechanical. Syncros RP2.0 wheels carry Schwalbe ONE 700x34C tires. The frame has a UDH hanger, internal cable routing, and integrated downtube storage that ships with a tube, tire lever, and mini pump already in it. Complete weight is 8.9 kg, with a 120 kg maximum system weight.
