The Shimano Deore XT SW-M8250-R is a wireless Di2 mountain bike shifter for 12-speed drivetrains, designed for flat bar setups and compatible with Shimano Mountain Di2 components. It mounts via clamp band and pairs directly with Shimano's wireless electronic shifting platform, giving riders precise, low-effort actuation without cable routing through the cockpit.

Shimano built the M8250-R around adjustability. Short stroke paddles support both 2-step and hold-down multi-shift modes, and the tactile click helps prevent accidental shifting on rough terrain. A programmable third button can be assigned custom functions via the E-TUBE PROJECT app, such as e-bike integration or additional system controls. The body uses multi-axis adjustability so the lever position can be dialed to fit a wide range of hand sizes and riding positions, with a rubber traction pad keeping grip consistent in wet conditions.
